Meet the Founder, Cherie Baughn

Welcome to Good Condition!
Hi Everyone! I'm Cherie Baughn, the founder of Good Condition. I am a mother of two, and live in Jacksonville, Florida. I'm passionate about premium, organic skincare and environmental impact - so passionate that I started my own brand. Our shop (where all of our moisturizers are hand poured) is located in nearby historic San Marco, Florida. When I'm not pouring lotion bars, I love to garden, study historic preservation, and spend time with my family. Interested in learning more about us? Why did you start Good Condition?
I started Good Condition because I found it impossible to shop for premium skincare without bring home tons of packaging. I wanted better choices, and I believe that other women do, too. Beauty and sustainability can exist in harmony, and I'm proving that each and every day.

How are your products different from other, more conventional, products in the beauty space?
Our products stand out in so many important ways! To begin, our moisturizers are all solid. Solid moisturizers last longer than conventional, and they do not create water waste in the production process. Additionally, our moisturizers are 100% organic, ethically sourced, all-natural, and hand made in small batches. Best of all, our beautiful packaging is both naturally biodegradable and recyclable. We will never utilize plastics in our products or packaging!

What’s the one thing you would never do as a maker of better products?
I would never, ever utilize anything other than premium, organic ingredients in my moisturizers.

What do you wish shoppers thought about more, and why?
I wish that beauty shoppers thought more about alternatives to plastic packaging. According to statistics from the Zero Waste Week research, plastic packaging waste from the beauty industry reaches over 120 billion units of packaging annually. Climate change is inevitable if brands don't reconsider their approaches and shift to ecological and sustainable standards. At Good Condition we’re proving that it can be done every day. Our moisturizers are a luxurious, plastic-free self-care experience!

What’s the one product in your line that you can’t live without, and why? 
I can’t live without The Night Recovery. It has become a staple, and I use it obsessively. Okay, I’m addicted!
